Relationships--of all kinds--are like sand held in your hand. That it’s very soft and fragile and can be lost very easily. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. This could connote that love should be about relaxing and not to over passionate. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers.
